Thinking and puzzle game with a twist...

In this game, the computer chooses a secret three-digit number from 0 to
9 and you
must try to guess it. Unfortunately, you only have 9 attempts! No digit
is repeated.
After each guess, the computer gives clues in the following way:
PICO
- One digit is correct but in the wrong place.
FERMI
- One digit is in the right place.
BAGELN - No
digit is correct.
You learn to draw conclusions from these clues and will be able to
improve your
results with more practice. There are a few different strategies for the
Bagel game.
Once you have found a good strategy, try to improve it.
Or try a completely different strategy and compare whether it is better.
Although the program allows 9 attempts, you should be able to find out
each number
in a maximum of eight attempts. The original authors of the original
program (Basic)
are D.Resek and P.Rowe from Lawrence Hall of Science in Berkeley,
California.

How do I play? To start a new game,
simply press the "START" button.
Our barmaid Eva now turns over all 3 signs and 3 large Xs appear.
Now it's your turn. Clicking on a sign with the LEFT mouse button
increases
the number, and with the RIGHT mouse button you decrease it
again.
Once you have selected your 3 numbers, press the "GUESS" button
- click on EVA.
Now Eva gives you the clues (Bageln,
Pico, Fermi) as mentioned above.
If you manage it in less than 9 moves, you get praise.
Otherwise you will unfortunately be boooooed.....
